[email protected]What to include in your message
Tell us which page or tool you are writing about, what you expected, and what you found instead. If your question is about a wage benchmark, include the occupation and the state or metro area. If it is about the calculator, include the inputs you used so we can reproduce the result. Specific messages get faster, more useful answers.
For a page
The page title and the sentence you were reading when something looked off.
For a benchmark
The occupation, plus the state or metro area you are comparing.
For a calculation
The pay amount, pay period, and filing state you entered.
Corrections to data or copy
Send the page and any reference you used. We check corrections against the public data behind the figure.
Data and methodology questions
How a benchmark is built, which figure type is used, why a metro is grouped the way it is.
Partnership and press
Same form. Include your organization, the request, and a deadline if one applies.
Paycheck discrepancies
Your employer's payroll department is the correct first contact — we cannot see your records.
Corrections to data or copy
If a figure looks stale or a description does not match your occupation, send us the page and any supporting reference. We review corrections against the underlying public data and update the page when a change is warranted. We note substantive corrections so readers can see what changed.
A useful correction names the page, the figure you believe is wrong, the figure you expected, and where your number comes from — a published wage table, an offer letter, or a state labor office summary. If the change affects an average salary page, say which state or metro you were reading so we can check that edition rather than the national one.
What we check
- The source table behind the figure and its release date.
- Whether the page is showing an annual or hourly basis.
- Whether the occupation label still matches the current classification.
What happens next
- We reply with what we found, whether or not the page changes.
- If a change is warranted, the page is updated and the revision is noted.
- If the public data does not settle it, we say so instead of guessing.
Data and methodology questions
Questions about how a benchmark is built, which figure type is used, or why a metro is grouped a certain way are welcome. We will explain the source and the method in plain terms. If a question requires a judgment call that public data does not settle, we will say that rather than guess.
Basis of a figure
Whether a number is an annual wage, an hourly rate, or a median across the whole occupation — the three answer very different questions about your own pay.
Geography
Why a metro is grouped the way it is, and when a state-level figure is the safer comparison for your situation.
Gross to net
Which deductions a calculator models, which it leaves to your own payroll paperwork, and why the two rarely match to the cent.
Pay periods
How a weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, or monthly schedule changes the per-paycheck figure even when the annual wage does not move.
Wages vs. compensation
Where base wages stop and total compensation begins, so you are comparing like with like across two offers.
Partnership and press inquiries
Partnership and press requests go through the same contact form. Include your organization, the nature of the request, and a deadline if one applies. We review these individually and respond when there is a fit. We do not accept paid placements in comparison content.
Where to find us
The Everee Salary Compass editorial desk is in Los Angeles, on Wilshire Boulevard. If you are sending a printed reference or a document pack, use the mailing address rather than a phone call so nothing gets transcribed by ear.

What we cannot help with
We cannot provide tax filing advice, individualized financial advice, or payroll support for your employer. If your question is about a specific paycheck discrepancy, your employer's payroll department is the correct first contact. We can explain how the underlying calculations generally work, but we cannot see your records.

Before you write
A few answers that save a round trip — from how fast we reply to which questions belong somewhere else.
How long does a reply usually take?
Messages are read during business hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Most replies go out within a few business days. A correction that needs a source checked can take a little longer, and we will tell you if that is the case rather than leave the thread quiet.
Can you tell me what my paycheck should be?
We can explain how gross-to-net figures are generally built and where the common differences come from. We cannot review your actual pay records, confirm what your employer owes you, or act on a discrepancy — that conversation starts with your payroll department.
Do you accept paid placements or sponsored comparisons?
No. Comparison content is written on its own terms and we do not sell placement inside it. If a partnership request reaches us, we look at whether it fits the reader's interest first.
Can I send a file with my correction?
Describe the reference in the message field and we will reply with the right way to send it. If your reference is a public wage table, a link or a full citation is often enough on its own.
Where do I go for salary figures instead of writing in?
Start with the salary calculator for gross-to-net and pay-period conversions, then check the average salary by state pages for wage benchmarks. Write in when a figure looks wrong or a page needs explaining.
Read first, then write in
Most questions we receive are already answered on the site. Checking the pages below first usually settles a wage benchmark, a pay-period conversion, or a budgeting figure without waiting on a reply.
